ADR Facilities

The Jubilee Suite and Charles Lamb Room make up the Lamb Chambers ADR Facilities.

The Jubilee Suite is self-contained and comprises four rooms in close proximity, together with a soft room for relaxation. Facilities include a fully equipped IT room, a kitchen, a toilet with disabled facilities, hands-free telephones, television, video and presentation equipment, and catering as required.

The Charles Lamb Room, on the same floor, is also available, seating up to twelve people.

Lamb Chambers ADR Suite

A fully self-contained modern ADR and conference suite. Discreet and tranquil, yet conveniently central.

Room 1

The largest room in the Suite, this room is capable of accommodating up to 10 delegates comfortably.

Room 2

This room, overlooking Elm Court, caters for groups of up to sixspan.

Room 3

One of two rooms in the Suite with capacity for meetings of up to six.

Room 4

This room is ideally suited for smaller meetings of up to four. All rooms are furnished in a light, modern style.

Soft Room

Relaxation facilities are provided in the Soft Room.

IT

The IT room houses computer and fax facilities. Presentation and video aids are also available.

Disabled access

The Suite incorporates a WC with disabled facilities available. The Suite is fully accessible to the disabled.

Catering

Refreshments can be prepared in the well-equipped Catering Area.

Charles Lamb Room

The Charles Lamb Room, named after the famous author (1775-1834) born in the Temple, is suitable for larger arbitrations, mediations and conferences. The room can host meetings of up to twelve people. It is located conveniently near the ADR suite.

ADR at Lamb Chambers

Chambers is strongly committed to Alternative Dispute Resolution.We believe that effective civil dispute resolution does not necessarily mean resort to the courts. Often it is more appropriate to reach a solution by means of arbitration or mediation. It may well be more cost-effective. In some cases it will allow practical measures to be implemented, measures which might not lie within the power of the courts to impose. In other cases it may well allow parties to see aspects of their dispute in a new light and, sometimes even as part of the machinery of the solution, commercial relations between previously trading parties may be resurrected.

ADR services

All members of chambers are willing to act in arbitrations, mediations and adjudications, and will - where the circumstances are right - aim to suggest these methods of dispute resolution where they may be appropriate.

Many members of chambers are accredited arbitrators, mediators and/or adjudicators. Full details, and assistance in choosing an appropriately qualified arbitrator, adjudicator or mediator can be obtained from the clerks.
