our history

Lamb Chambers has a long history of which it is proud. The set has had a continuous existence since 1946. Chambers moved to its present location in Lamb Building at the west end of Elm Court in 1954, shortly after the building was opened in 1953. The original Lamb Building was located in what is now Church Court, by the Temple Church, until destroyed by enemy action during the Second World War.
