Practiced both as a Barrister (called 1968) and Queen's Counsel (1994) from Lamb Chambers, Temple (where he remains an Associate Member) in all forms of contractual and tortious dispute, professional negligence, sports injuries, product liability, insurance, health & safety, personal injury and clinical malpractice.
Judicial/Arbitration/Mediation experience includes practice, procedure, evidence, interpretation of statutes, commercial and construction contracts, professional negligence, assessment of damages, employment, fundamental human rights, judicial review, legal & beneficial property interests, boundary disputes, planning, probate, trade marks, fishery rights, and disciplinary sporting appeal.
Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (1999), Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies (1999), Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (2000), Sports Dispute Resolution Panels of Arbitrators and Mediators(2000), Court Assistant to the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators (2008).

Appointed Panel Member to advise HM Treasury upon the appointment of an independent valuer under the Northern Rock plc Compensation Scheme Order 2008
Has travelled extensively in the Caribbean, particularly to small Commonwealth Jurisdictions, attending Chief Justices' Conferences in Grand Bahama, Bermuda, Cayman, Dominica, St. Lucia, and Trinidad; and extensively in India, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, where he has conducted advocacy workshops.
