Pupillage Applications
Lamb Chambers is not subscribing to the OLPAS system for pupillage applications for the period commencing October 2011. We have found the system unsatisfactory.
Candidates who wish to apply to this chambers where there are specialist teams in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence, Property and Housing and Commercial Work should do so as follows:
- Please put in your application in writing by no later than 4.00pm on 23.04.2010 to Colin Challenger, Lamb Chambers, Temple, London, EC4Y 7AS and provide an email address.
- Your application should contain a CV covering a single A4 sheet giving an outline of your personal details, educational achievements, interests and anything else that you deem appropriate.
- Please write a single page covering letter indicating why you would like to undertake a pupillage at Lamb Chambers.
- You may if you wish include a further single page indicating in no more than 250 words why you would like to undertake a career at the bar.
We will be offering two twelve month pupillages. The first six months is sponsored. On the basis of our experience with pupils over the past six years we anticipate that during the second six months you will have frequent paid court work. In the second six months there will be a minimum income guarantee.
The intended timetable for pupillage interviews is (Murphy's Law may apply):
- Notification whether you have been selected for interview by 30.06.2010.
- First round interviews completed by 16.07.2010
- Second round interviews completed by 30.07.2010
Mini-pupillage
Mini-pupillages are available between June and September each year. Applications for mini-pupillage in 2009 should be made by CV with covering letter addressed to Colin Challenger. Closing date for applications is 30th April 2009. Please provide an email address for correspondence.
