Named in memory of our former colleague, Colin Challenger, who sadly passed away in 2022, the room honours his significant contribution to the development of Chambers and the legal profession more broadly.
In a profession rooted in tradition, Colin stood out for his joyous and refreshing approach to life and the law. He built his practice from the ground up, guided not by convention, but by conviction – always seeking a better way, especially when the conventional route fell short of fairness. Notwithstanding Colin’s aversion to convention he was a fantastic and imaginative lawyer often finding a solution overlooked by others. Loved by his friends and admired by so many, Colin made a positive impact on all who knew him.
The Challenger Room is a lasting tribute to Colin’s legacy, and we are proud to name it after someone who made a lasting impact on Chambers.
