Dr Natalia Perova

Natalia joined Lamb Chambers as a Third Six pupil, having completed her pupillage at a common law set in October 2017. She accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.

During her pupillage year, Natalia has had extensive court practice, and appeared in higher courts, including the Court of Appeal in her own right. Her prior experience includes dealing with commercial cases, personal guarantees, general contract law, serving out of jurisdiction, probate and trust matters, negligence, employment, and property. She has good client care skills and experience in dealing with clients of diverse backgrounds. Due to her academic experience, Natalia excels in dealing with complex legal issues or factually complex cases.

Prior to joining the Bar, Natalia was a university lecturer teaching a range of subjects including contract law, evidence, international law, media law, and EU law. She is the author of a number of academic articles and presentation papers and, given her previous academic, teaching, and public speaking background, Natalia is happy to give talks and seminars in the areas of her expertise.

Natalia has completed two PhDs in law and has worked as an intern in the United Nations and international courts. In addition to speaking English, Natalia is fluent in Russian, Spanish and French and has a working knowledge of a number of other European languages. In addition, she has experience and skill in dealing with foreign/overseas parties and disputes involving an international dimension.

Given her international background and multi-language skills, in addition to accepting any commercial work, Natalia is particularly happy to accept instructions in (international) commercial litigation, international arbitration and mediation, conflict of laws and questions of jurisdiction, areas of public and private international law. Natalia is interested in alternative methods of dispute resolution and has completed arbitration and mediation courses.
