Michele has a particular interest in property work. His practice encompasses real property, landlord and tenant, and social housing work. He has frequently been instructed in possession actions brought by public and private landlords and mortgage lenders. He also has experience of claims against trespassers (including interim possession orders), applications to suspend warrants for eviction, applications for orders for sale, and applications to re-enter following execution of a warrant.
Michele’s commercial practice encompasses contractual disputes (including building disputes and claims based on compromise agreements), debt recovery work, and both personal and company insolvency. He is also experienced in dealing with the usual procedural applications, including applications to set aside default judgment, applications for summary judgment and applications for relief from sanctions.
Michele has extensive experience of personal injury work on behalf of both claimants and defendants, and is extremely well-versed in the complex costs rules that can apply in this area. He frequently appears in fast track trials, as well as small claims hearings and stage 3 hearings for the assessment of damages arising out of road traffic accidents. He is also experienced in dealing with interlocutory hearings and providing clear and comprehensive advice on quantum.
Michele accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ practice, combining sharp legal intellect with a commercially sensitive approach. He has extensive trial experience and is frequently instructed at all stages of litigation from advisory work and drafting through to final hearing.
