Terms of business
The way in which barristers are instructed has changed several times in recent years. All chambers must publish terms upon which they agree to be instructed. These are our standard terms:
Lamb Chambers Standard Terms
These terms will apply to every new case sent to Lamb Chambers by a solicitor unless:
- a Conditional Fee Agreement is agreed
- the client is Publicly Funded
- alternative or varied Terms have been agreed (in writing) with the solicitor
Personal injury
Where a personal injury case is undertaken under Lamb Chambers’ standard PI CFA terms, the following terms shall apply to that agreement:
Sample agreement 1 October 2013
Standard Terms 1 October 2013
Public access
Please note that where instructions are sent to barristers on a Public Access basis – not through a solicitor – then individual terms will be agreed between the client and barrister.
Legal Aid
Lamb Chambers Legal Aid Terms
These terms will apply to every new Publicly Funded case sent to Lamb Chambers by a solicitor.
