Probationary Tenancy

Lamb Chambers (Chambers of Richard Power) invites applications for two probationary tenancies commencing 6 January 2025.

The successful candidates will join our busy team of barristers and gain experience in Chambers’ three main practice areas: Commercial, Personal Injury and Property. Experience of or a commitment to developing a career in any one of our core practice areas is essential.

Probationary Tenants have two ‘seats’ each of three months’ duration (with different supervisors and in different practice areas) and will normally be considered for tenancy towards the end of this period. Probationary Tenants are expected to go to court regularly on their own account.

Candidates will be expected to have outstanding academic credentials, strong interpersonal skills, excellent references, and be ambitious, motivated, and committed to excellence.

How to Apply

To apply, email a covering letter, CV, details of at least two past or existing supervisors, bulleted summary of the type of work you have undertaken in pupillage and three referee names to: John Ditchburn, Head of Pupillage at pupillage@lambchambers.co.uk.

Closing Date

The closing date for applications is 20 September 2024.

Lamb Chambers is a signatory to the Bar Council’s Third Six Pupillage Good Practice Guidelines. It is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and to the promotion of access to the Bar irrespective of a candidate’s background.
