Why instruct us?
We offer a flexible, forward-thinking and pragmatic approach to the services we provide and to the breadth of our engagement in international arbitration. We recognise that, unlike in litigation, there is no set division between the roles of barristers and solicitors in international arbitration and that many cases require flexibility rather than a formalistic approach to the instructions of counsel being involved. Our practice managers are happy to tailor the terms of our engagement to suit each matter you may be dealing with.
Clients can instruct us to lead an arbitration team from start to finish or to focus on the advocacy stage if they prefer to use their own in-house lawyers, or other arbitration specialists, for the rest of the case. Our members can act as co-counsel, adding specialist expertise to an existing international arbitration team, or English law expertise, if the matter is run by a non-UK law firm. We can provide specialists in a number of areas and are able to offer a mix-and-match approach if the case so demands.
