Applications for mini-pupillages in 2026 are now open.
Those selected will be invited to attend in May, June, September and October 2026.
To apply, send your CV and covering letter to minipupillage@lambchambers.co.uk by 5pm Tuesday 31 March 2026.
In your application, kindly indicate your preferred months in order of preference. While we will endeavour to accommodate your choices, we cannot guarantee that preferences will be met. All successful applicants will be contacted by the end of April 2026.
Aim
The aim of our mini-pupillage programme is to help candidates decide whether a career at the independent Bar is for them. It exposes candidates to different areas of law and offers a snapshot of the working life of a barrister.
Qualification
Lamb Chambers offers mini-pupillages to candidates who have completed at least one year of an undergraduate degree course, which can be in any subject. We particularly want to encourage applications from candidates who have not previously undertaken any mini-pupillages.
Selection
There will be no interview and offers of a place will be made on the strength of your application.
The process of selection for mini-pupillage is entirely separate from that of pupillage and acceptance/rejection of an application for mini-pupillage is not an indication of the likely outcome of any application you might subsequently make for a pupillage.
Equality and Diversity
Lamb Chambers is wholly committed to the principles of equality and diversity. We will therefore select candidates irrespective of age, background, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
