Applications for a third-six pupil in Chambers are now being accepted

Lamb Chambers (Chambers of Richard Power) invites applications for a Third Six pupillage/probationary tenancy commencing 9 January 2023.

The successful candidate will join our busy team of junior barristers and gain experience in chambers’ main practice areas (personal injury, property and commercial law). Experience of or a commitment to developing a career in any one of our core practice areas will be an advantage.

Third Six pupils/probationary tenants have 2 ‘seats’ each of 3 months’ duration (with different supervisors and in different practice areas) and will normally be considered for tenancy towards the end of this period. Pupils/probationers are expected to go to court regularly on their own account.

Candidates will be expected to have outstanding academic credentials, strong inter-personal skills, excellent references, and be ambitious, motivated and committed to excellence.

How to apply

To apply, email a covering letter, CV, details of at least 2 two past or existing supervisors and a bulleted summary of the type of work you have undertaken in pupillage to: Derek Kerr, Head of Pupillage at derekkerr@lambchambers.co.uk.

Closing Date

The closing date for applications is 21 December 2022.

Lamb Chambers is a signatory to the Bar Council’s Third Six Pupillage Good Practice Guidelines. It is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, and to the promotion of access to the Bar irrespective of a candidate’s background.
